Objectives
- With the participants sitting in a circle, an image of a man is placed that the facilitator identifies as a man called Zaheer and then asks the participants to put a green card – if that seems to them that is the image of a good person – or else a red card – if you think that is the image of a bad person

Moment #1

Moment #2
Next, a card with the information “Pakistani immigrant in the United Kingdom” is placed in front of the image – participants are asked to carry out the same judgment as they did previously with the green and red cards.
The process is repeated with the following cards:
- Muslim
- Cabby
- Father of two
Moment #3
Participants are then asked to watch a video [see link] where Zaheer Hussain comments on the conversion of a Muslim to Christianity. Again, participants are asked to make the same judgment using green and red cards.
Moment #4
Finally, participants are told that this video was disseminated over the Internet and after that it was questioned by the police. As a consequence, his driver’s license was revoked. He produced a second apology video [see link].
Notes
- After each judgment process, the facilitator can promote a debate between the motivations for the choices between green and red cards;
- Before viewing the first video, it is important to note that this is an offensive language;
- The activity can be extended or shrunk in duration depending on the time and the dynamics of reflection that is developed by the participants – it is essential that the participants see and discuss the two videos.
